School and College Ceremonies
You can watch pre-recorded school and college ceremonies directly following the University Commencement Celebration (posted at approximately 10:00 a.m. PDT). Individuals who opted in for their school or college virtual ceremony by the deadline can find their individualized recognition slide on the Stage Clip website.
Two in-person activities have been added to this year’s commencement day, June 12: the Grad Parade, followed by a livestreamed Stage Procession. Both activities will be outdoors and are for graduates only. Please note: These activities are not the same as our traditional commencement ceremonies. We plan to return to our traditional commencement events next spring; the classes of 2020 and 2021 will be invited back to campus to participate.
This year's Grad Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. PDT. Graduates who opted in will check in and line up on 13th Avenue in front of Matthew Knight Arena no earlier than 11:30 a.m. At approximately 12:30 p.m., graduates will parade west on 13th Avenue, crossing Agate Street and continuing through campus toward the Memorial Quad. The Stage Procession will then begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. PDT. Graduates will assemble in a designated area on the Memorial Quad where they will cross a stage as their names are read aloud and then have their photo taken.
Graduates who have opted in must observe all COVID-19 and university conduct guidelines at all times. Please note: In the event that public health restrictions change, the event is subject to cancellation without notice.
The opt in for the two in-person activities is now closed. If you have any questions please contact the Commencement Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
